Publishing using Dreamweaver Print

In Dreamweaver 4+, click on Site then select Define Sites.
In Dreamweaver MX click on Site -> New Site... then click on the Advanced Tab.

Select "Local Info" in the left column and enter the following details:
Site Name: enter a name for your web site
Local Root Folder: choose or create a folder where all your web site files are kept

Select "Remote info" in the left column.
Access method: FTP
FTP host: ftp.yourdomain.co.nz (Please also see KB What server name should I use?)


Host directory: /public_html/
Login: your account username
Password: your account password

Please do not check the SFTP option.

Click "OK" to return to "Define sites" window.

Click "Done".

To start publishing your site, click "Site" from the main menu, then "Open site".

Click "Connect" button.

After the remote folder appear, you can easily work with your files, simply by drag-and-dropping them.

Please note that Dreamweaver uses the FTP protocol to publish files.
